Bundi is small town of Rajasthan surrounded by Aravalli hills by three sides and 36 Km far from Kota. It is covered with four massive walls with four gateways. This town is famous for forts, haveli, palaces and idols of stone.
Some Haveli’s such as Sukh Mahal, Rani Ji Ki Baori, Badal Mahal, Ratan Daulat and Chatarmal are attractions of Bundi. Chatarmal, Badal Mahal and Ratan Dualat are famous for their paintings and murals. Rao Raja was built up this Sukh Mahal that retrieves history in it. The main attraction is underground tunnel that passes through Sukh Mahal to Taragarh Fort.
One more attraction of Bundi is Bundi durg that was built by Roa Raja Bar Singh in the year 1411. It is also known as Star fort. It is most famous and beautiful fort and well constructed. This is mainly famous for paintings to visit Chitrashala. You can see many colorful paintings that attract tourists for that place. The wonderful thing is there to see walls of pavilion that is decorated with paintings that represent the scenes of Ragmala and Ralila.
Shikar Burj and Jait Sagar Lake are two famous picnic spots that were built by Jaita Meena. Sriti Kunj and Terrace Garden are also some attractions of visitors. If you will visit in the month of September or November you can get chance to enjoy Bundi Fair.
