History of India

We can divide Indian history into 6 parts that is Ancient India, Medieval India, the years of the Company, the British Raj, The struggle for Independence and Post-Independence. Today India stands on post-independence phenomenon. You can learn about many of battles, history of places and their rulers. Our India is rich in history. Below us have defined time to time ages of Indian history followed as:-

The Pre Historic Era

The Stone Age: This period was started 5 lac to 2 lac years ago and discovered recently in Tamil Naidu that defines anatomically humans in the area.

The Bronze Age: This period was started around 3300 BCE with early Indus valley civilization.

Early Historic Period

Vedic Period: In this period, The Aryans were firstly entered the country. Sanskrit was the language that is used by them in ancient time. Vedas was written by using Sanskrit language. The Aryans were come out from North region in 1500 BC.

Mahajanapadas: In this period, again urbanization in India more rise after the Indus Valley Civilization. During Vedic period, small kingdoms and cities were spread across the subcontinent and mention in early Buddhist and Jain literature around 1000 BCE back. In 500 BCE, 16 Mahajanapadas has been established such as Kasi, Kosala, Anga, Magadha, Vajji (or Vriji), Malla, Chedi, Vatsa (or Vamsa), Kuru, Panchala, Matsya, Surasena, Assaka, Avanti, Gandhara, and Kamboja.

Persian and Greek Conquests: In this Period, North-West subcontinent established under the rule of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, Pakistan and Afghanistan Countries was established in this period. In 326 BCE, Alexander the Great and the Achaemenid Empire reached at the North-West frontier of the Indian subcontinent then he defeated King Porus and conquered whole Punjab

Maurya Empire: In this Period, Maurya Empire rule was established from 322-185 BCE, the Maurya Empire was political and military empire in ancient India established by Chandragupta Maurya in Magadha. After that it was developed and controlled by Ashoka the Great.

Culture of India

The Culture of India defines from dance, music, movies and art works in multiple cities.

Music: Many of great singers and musicians belong with Indian music history. Classical music is devotional and popular in all over world. A music instrument that is comes from god flute playing by Lord Krishna. Here every region has distinctive folk tradition. Many of instruments like veena, sitar and the Indian drum: table or mridanhgam in the south accompany with Indian music.

Dance: Classical dance form is the famous in the world that reflects Indian dance culture. Every region has own dance form that represents by stylized movements and traditional dresses. All dance forms defines Indian culture and his community living style. Many Indian styles such as Kathakali of Kerala, Bharatnatyam of Tamil Nadu, Kuchipudi of Andhra Pradesh, Manipuri and Odissi from Orissa are the famous dance forms in the India that makes India incredible. Bhangra of Punjabi men and Gidda of Punjabi Women are most famous dance forms in all over world. These all kind of dances of different region has developed its own unique form.

Movies: The Indian Cinema is most famous in the world located in Bombay city known as Bollywood. Many of big stars of Bollywood belong to Hindi movie industry for their passion and talent. You can see action, dharma, romance, song and dance in Hindi movies that represents Indian culture. Hindi movie industry is also divided into many sub movie industry as per region. Every region represents his culture through movies in his own language and style.

Art: Indian Art work is famous for his history and architecture. You can see ancient art crafting architecture and painting work that reflects history of Indian culture. Also, some of great paintings define the ancient time stories of some emperor and you can also get art work that defines the love stories and battles of any two rulers.

India is place of festivals where you can enjoy different kind of festivals month by month. In whole World, India is place where all type of festivals celebrates related to different religion. Holi, Diwali, Id, Lohri these are some main festivals of India. India has 3 National holidays that is Independence Day, Republic day and Mahatma Gandhi Jyanti. Diwali is the biggest festival of India when whole India shine with lights it is also known as ‘Festival of Lights’. It is related to Bhagwan Shri Ram.
